- Genevieve was also lost in thought. She was surprised at the angst evoked by seeing Darius with his daughter. Genie was a beautiful, desirable woman and she knew it. Men pursued her and she often gladly allowed herself to be caught. But for all the lovers she'd enjoyed over the years, this had been the first time she'd met a partner's child. Some of her partners had been divorced with kids; hell, a couple had been, let's call it 'pre-divorce.' But aside from a couple of friends or maybe a sibling, she'd never engaged with any of their family. But what Darius and Santana shared was so real, deep, and so intimate, that it took her breath away. And there was something else there, simmering just under the surface. Something taboo. She wasn't sure Darius realized it yet, but she was sure Santana did. Simply put, Santana had what she'd always wanted: a father who loved her unconditionally and without limits.
- Her own father had only wanted sons, and he only had one. Genevieve, born Jia Li, was born first, and he paid almost no attention to her. Once her brother Quan Ru was born, it was as if Jia didn't exist. Everything she did, she looked to her ba-ba for acceptance and approval. At most, he would grant her a small smirk, and go on to focus on Quan. Now, she was an adult. When she started college, majoring in Software Design, she changed her name from Chiang Jia Li to the westernized Genevieve Chiang, and began her search for fulfillment. Now, fourteen years later, she was afraid she'd might never find it. So tonight, she'd borrow Darius and bring him into her bed, and once again use a man to pretend that her father loved her.
- As Darius pulled into the driveway of her townhouse, Genevieve took out her cellphone and opened the garage. "Pull it inside, since my car's not there," she said. As they both got out of the car, she seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. She opened the door and as she walked in, pulled Darius in after her. She turned and pulled him close. Her lips hungrily seeking out his, and welcomed him in with a deep, wet kiss.
